State of Faith
Delivered weekly to your inboxWhat is State of Faith?
State of Faith brings moving stories of faith, humanity and the state of religion in the public sphere right to your inbox.
After experiencing a sudden and powerful restoration of religious freedom during her childhood in Ukraine, State of Faith writer Mariya Manzhos doesn’t take freedom of religion for granted. She writes:
These early experiences shaped my view of religion. I learned early that the freedom to worship in public, to speak about your faith, to search for meaning in community was not something to take for granted. In the past decade of reporting on faith and culture, I've seen how faith shapes what we value and how we pray, but also how we vote, lead, serve and gather.
As a journalist for the Deseret News, Manzhos reports on the key issues facing faith and religion in the public sphere today.
